Our Passion for Goldens
Hello there! Welcome to Midwest Retrievers. We are so excited to bring you along with us on this journey! We are a small family operated business that pours our hearts & love into breeding the best and healthiest Golden Retrievers. We health test all our dogs & strive to breed with the best of standards. We live on a farm just outside of Van Wert, Ohio and we feel very blessed to have the opportunity to raise our puppies and family dogs in a spacious environment, with plenty of room to run and play. We make sure all our dogs are well taken care of, happy, and healthy. Our family is hands on, spending time with our puppies to make sure they are well socialized and ready for their new home. Our focus is on finding the perfect balance between temperament and health to ensure each puppy thrives. Please feel free to look around this site and contact us if you have any questions. What to Expect from Midwest Retrievers...
*OFA Certified, Genetic & Health Tested Parents
*All of our parent dogs are genetically tested and cleared of over 200 genetic conditions.
*All of our pups will come with a 1 year health guarantee. Covering anything genetic that would cause death within first year.
*Shot & Health record will be given to you at pickup, showing all the

*Our puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations, vet checkups, and deworming at 2, 4, and 6 weeks.
*As they grow, we use a puppy curriculum that includes handling and exposure activities, early potty training, and early crate exposure that leads to confident, well-socialized puppies.
*Our puppies are microchipped.
*Vet-checked, happy, & healthy puppies
*We're happy to FaceTime with potential families for our puppies, schedule puppy visits, and send additional pictures and videos.
*Our puppies are family raised in and out of our home. They will interact daily with our three children getting lots of love, daily puppy curriculum and exposure exercise

*We post weekly pictures and videos as your puppy grows.
*Although we love meeting our potential families face-to-face, we are able to offer transport for our puppies through a dog driver or flight and can also meet you at the airport if you choose to fly in to pick up your puppy.
*For the growth of our program we reserve the right to first pick of any litter prior to the official pick date.
* A puppy care pack will be given at pickup date. A blanket that has the litters & moms scent, a sample of the dog food they are currently on and a few other fun things.

Meet Banks!
Banks is our main man. He is the most gentle and loving dog we could ever ask for. He loves to play fetch and cuddle. He loves water and playing with our kids in the yard. He's very smart and such a good boy. Banks is a very special part of our family. He has the best temper, an enjoyable personality, and a beautiful blocky head. He's the Perfect family dog and he loves his belly scratches! Banks is genetically tested and waiting on OFA certification.
Riley
Meet Riley!
Riley is our fun-loving, quiet, and eager to please girl! She's always waiting with a smile to greet you! She loves to join in a game of fetch but can't wait to sit by your chair and get all the attention you can give her! Not only does she have a sweet personality but she also has a gorgeous red coat. She is a wonderful family dog and a great asset to our breeding program as she is OFA certified in hips, elbow, and cardiac and genetically tested.
